An exciting overseas job opportunity has arisen in the Middle East with one of our key clients in the Aerospace & Defence sector. We are searching for a highly skilled Jet Engine Maintenance Technician to support the Tornado Flying Programme for our customer, based in the Middle East. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out engine maintenance activities combined with responsibility for training and mentoring activities in association with the requirements of the customer and trainees. In this role you will be responsible for inspection, maintaining, installing, modifying, testing, troubleshooting and repairing jet engines and associated equipment.

Our client operates as a prime contractor under a Government to Government arrangement which is in place to provide equipment, support and training to the customer based in the Middle East.

As Jet Engine Maintenance Technician for the Tornado aircraft, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance activities including troubleshooting and rectification.
As part of a highly skilled and capable overseas team, you will monitor the production and timely completion of high-quality work, related to military aircraft systems. As you would expect for a position of this nature, you will need to be able to demonstrate good cultural awareness and diplomacy to ensure that communications are crystal clear to maximise operational readiness and ensure safety critical issues are managed effectively and efficiently.
About the Person
If you are the ideal candidate, you will most likely have extensive experience of Tornado aircraft and RB199 engine maintenance as well as being a graduate of a military school or civilian equivalent. To succeed in this role, you will also need to be capable of using the MIRO GOLDesp information technology maintenance system and have a comprehensive understanding of the Aircraft Operations Management Systems (AOMS) reporting methods. Given the challenging nature of this overseas job opportunity, it will be important that you are able to demonstrate initiative to resolve complex technical problems whilst operating in a high-pressure environment. Whilst it isn’t essential for succeeding in overseas jobs, it would be a distinct advantage if you have previous experience of working in the aerospace & defence sector in a Middle East country.
