About the Job
An excellent overseas job opportunity has arisen in the Middle East with one of our key clients in the Aerospace & Defence sector. We are searching for a highly experienced Fleet Planning Manager, responsible for leading the development of the Tornado Support Service Management Service, including assessment of gap analysis, mobilisation, resourcing, and technical preparations. As Tornado Fleet Manager, you will be working directly with the customer, providing effective leadership for the development and delivery of fleet planning capability, including the Aircraft Maintenance Programme and Maintenance Planning activities, for the Tornado platform.
Key Job Requirements
- Responsible to the Head of Tornado Service Integration for the development of an effective and risk-balanced fleet management service for the Tornado Support Service.
- Responsible to Tornado Head of Continuing Airworthiness Management Support, for all tactical and strategic fleet planning activities, for the Tornado platform, including RB199 engine and all-life components.
- Establish and maintain a network of technical communication channels across the Part M organisation and with key internal stakeholders and external organisations.
- Lead and manage a competent team of personnel, to develop and deliver Fleet Planning at strategic and tactical levels, whilst maximising operational availability and minimising maintenance impacts on the flying programmes.

About the Person
The ideal candidate for this Tornado Fleet Manager position will most likely be educated to degree level or demonstrate equivalent experience through formal recorded workplace training in a relevant Part M-related role. Given the nature of the role, it is most likely that you will have demonstrable experience and achievements with the Royal Air Force. As you would expect, you will be expected to demonstrate excellent tact and diplomacy. In addition, given the fact this role is an overseas assignment, you will be required to demonstrate a high level of cultural awareness and pragmatism to ensure your objectives are achieved consistent with local customs.
