About the Job
We are currently hiring for Chef’s at all levels on a temporary and permanent basis. We have a variety of shift which need to be covered throughout the summer months with various clients including small restaurants and larger chain hotels. The hourly rate will vary depending on the client, but if you are looking for a new opportunity, or just need some extra shifts to pay for that summer holiday, then we want to talk with you.
About the Employer
Most of our clients have permanent employment opportunities, and therefore working on a temporary basis gives you the chance to demonstrate your culinary expertise as a Chef and experience the culture and work environment for yourself. The employer also has time to review their requirements and assess your suitability for longer term appointments.
As an experienced Chef, we’re sure you already realise that skilled CDP’s are in big demand, although we are equally happy to talk to Chef’s at all levels in the kitchen. For most of the roles, you will support the kitchen in delivering quality food for a variety of events and functions as well as providing a full catering service for rooms and restaurants. You will also be expected to maintain exceptional performance standards through the effective use of kitchen resources and ensuring consistency in quality and value. The guest experience is paramount, and we would expect you to be setting a great example for the junior members of the kitchen to ensure that company standards and statutory obligations are maintained.
About the Person
To succeed as a Temporary Chef, you will most likely have successfully operated in a variety of different kitchen environments with varying priorities and challenges at different points during your shift. Success in this position will be determined by your attitude and ability to work well under pressure and within a team environment. You will also most likely have a natural confidence in the kitchen with a good attention to detail and warm personality.
The salary package for Temporary Chef positions vary anywhere between £10 per hour and £14 per hour with an excellent benefits package.
