We are conducting a retained search for a Supply Chain Manager to be appointed with our high-profile client in the defence sector based in the Middle East. The primary purpose of the role will be to support the expanding team to support customer requirements.

About the Job
Your primary responsibilities as Supply Chain Manager will be to contribute to be responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring our overall supply chain strategy, in order to maximise efficiency and productivity. As Supply Chain Manager, you will plan and implement the overall supply chain strategy, determine key supply chain KPI’s and suggest solutions for process improvements. Given the nature of the position, you will also be expected to identify process bottlenecks and recommend solutions which ensure good relationships are maintained with the customer and vendors.
To be successful in this role you don’t need to have previous experience working overseas, though it would be a distinct advantage but, it will be essential that you have operated in a similar level position and demonstrated continued progression in your career to date.
About the Person
To succeed in this position, you will most certainly need to possess a sense of adventure and, be able to demonstrate a high level of diplomacy and pragmatism. Whilst it isn’t essential, you will most likely have a relevant degree in business or Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a similar field. In addition, it will be very helpful if you have a previous background with supply chain software such as SAP MM, AP Modules, or SAP Plant Maintenance or similar. Ideally, you will have previous experience in physical logistics, inventory optimisation, data analysis and demand management.
Above all, you will be expected to demonstrate effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills as well as having great interpersonal skills, communication and negotiation capability with a Senior Management Team, often up to VP level, whilst building effective working relationships.
The salary for the Supply Chain Manager role is expected to be circa £250 per day tax-free with high-quality accommodation also provided at no cost, first-class primary care medical facilities as well as a range of excellent recreation facilities on a secure compound.
