About the Role
We are on the hunt for an experienced, but ambitious Project Manager with one of our Construction clients operating within the energy and wastewater field. If successful, you would be joining a company with massive growth potential and niche technology, enabling it to provide substantial energy savings on both a domestic and commercial basis. The purpose of the role will be to plan and implement the delivery of energy installations working across the UK and into the European Union when required.

Our client is a UK subsidiary of a highly successful overseas energy business, specialising in the design, installation, manufacture and operational management of heat energy systems. In a short period, the client has established strategic relationships with key partners in the utilities and commercial sector, enabling a period of strong growth potential. Through cost-efficient technology the business aims to sustainably reduce carbon emissions for heating, ventilation and geo-exchange. Whilst this is a challenging role with lots of demands, the work environment is professional and friendly with a great support network to ensure you succeed.
About the Job
To succeed in this Project Manager role, you must have a sound engineering background, potentially as a graduate, combined with construction experience and a strong commercial aptitude. We would be open to consider candidates from Civil/Design background, and in particular those with Wastewater or Renewables expertise. A key function of the Project Manager role will be your ability to work with and influence the thinking of key partners including water companies, construction partners, engineering partners and equipment suppliers, as well as strategically utilise the services of the key external partners to deliver a high-quality suite of services to the end user.
Your key responsibilities will be to support the Sales team with customer presentations, business development and feasibility support as well as attending site to ensure operational compliance and performance. Further, as Project Manager, you will be responsible for project delivery and financial control, supporting the business income targets, growing profitability and driving an equitable and sustainable return for the company with exceptional customer service.
About the Person
This will be a challenging role because of the conflicting demands of start-up challenges with driving forward business objectives. To succeed as Project Manager with our client, you will be very comfortable balancing customer empathy and company objectives, as well as being a natural forward planner, constantly assessing and monitoring for potential road-blocks and creating a path to ensure operational efficiencies are maintained. It will be highly beneficial that you are experienced in working on subterranean projects - in particular wastewater.
If you are successful for this role we would expect you to have first class communication skills and be adaptable in handling different situations as they arise. You will be self-driven, results orientated with a ruthless aptitude for evaluating performance effectiveness and able to take consequential action when required. Albeit, we will also still be looking for a positive outlook and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
The rewards for this role are highly competitive and includes an annual salary of circa £45k-£50k depending on experience along with a very attractive incentive bonus, share options and pension.
