£30k to £40k + Share Options + Performance Bonus + Pension
About the Role
We are on the hunt for an experienced, but ambitious Project Engineer with one of our clients operating within the renewable energy and wastewater sector. If successful, you would be joining a company with massive growth potential and niche technology, enabling it to provide substantial energy savings on both a domestic and commercial basis. The purpose of the role will be to plan and implement the delivery of energy installations working across the UK and into the European Union as part of their ambitious growth plans.
About the Client
Our client is a UK subsidiary of a highly successful overseas energy business, specialising in the design, installation, manufacture and operational management of heat energy systems. In a short period of time, the client has established strategic relationships with key partners in the utilities and commercial sector, enabling a period of strong growth potential. Through cost-efficient technology, the business aims to sustainably reduce carbon emissions for heating, ventilation and geo-exchange. Whilst this is a challenging role with lots of demands, the work environment is professional and friendly with a great support network to ensure you succeed.
About the Job
To succeed in this Project Engineer role, you must have a sound engineering background, potentially as a graduate, combined with a background in civil engineering and design. A great attitude, adaptability and a demonstrable commitment to teamwork will be more important than your engineering discipline, however, we are particularly keen to talk to candidates who have worked on subterranean projects.
A key function of the Project Engineer role will be to convert feasibility solutions into detailed designs that facilitate the delivery of consistently high-quality installations that support the business income targets, grow profitability and drive an equitable and sustainable return for the company. Your key responsibilities will be to support the Head of Operations and the project design team in managing and delivering feasibility studies, system design, building interface & project implementation process for the delivery of energy installations across the UK & European Union.
As Project Engineer it will be your responsibility to develop the company modelling protocols and oversee the preparation of project feasibility documentation, project proposals and all required customer-facing documentation to communicate the engineered solutions.
About the Person
To succeed as Project Engineer with our client, you will most likely have exceptional communication skills, and strong negotiation capability balanced with a focus on customer empathy. You will have proven skills in energy modelling and building level thermal engineering as well as a high level of competency in writing business correspondence. It would be highly beneficial that you are experienced working on subterranean projects - in particular wastewater - or with a focus on renewables. Above all, your ability to fit into the team will be crucial, they’re a friendly bunch, and will help you settle into the work environment with ease.
The rewards for this role are highly competitive and includes an annual salary of circa £30k to £40k depending on experience along with a very attractive incentive bonus, share options and pension. Above all, this is a fantastic opportunity to get a foot in the door in a business which is really going places, with niche technology and a market which is anticipating substantial growth in the next 20 years.
