We are conducting a retained search for an Interim Procurement Manager to be appointed with our high-profile client in the Training & Development sector based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, initially for a period of 12 months. The primary purpose of the role will be to lead the Procurement team, ensuring that the most economical, advantageous tender process and opportunities are identified and managed appropriately; drafting and evaluating Requests for Purchasing; managing supply chain issues through to successful delivery of goods and services.

About the Job
Your primary responsibilities as Interim Procurement Manager will be to establish a training and development programme for the team, recognising the different levels of experience. You will also be expected to establish a Supplier Review System along with an Order Book Management process, aligning with the Procurement Governance system, to maintain consistency with broader group requirements.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to establish strategies for international delivery into KSA of goods purchased in Europe, including defining export control requirements and international delivery terms. Furthermore, as the preferred candidate, we would expect you to be able to design and implement a variety of sourcing strategies and best practice models, to establish an efficient and effective full-service procurement function.
About the Person
To succeed in this position, you will most certainly need to possess a sense of adventure and, be able to demonstrate a high level of diplomacy and pragmatism. Whilst it isn’t essential, you will most likely have a relevant degree in business or Supply Chain, Procurement, or a similar field. In addition, it will be important that you have knowledge of and experience of procurement from non-UK suppliers and international delivery perspective along with advanced knowledge of global procurement practices and techniques including negotiation skills and supplier relationship management.
The salary for the Interim Procurement Manager role is expected to be circa £368 per day tax-free with high quality accommodation also provided at no cost, first class primary care medical facilities as well as a range of excellent recreation facilities on a secure compound.
