About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a conscientious Customer Service Advisor within the Patient Services Team with our well-established client in the Clinical Homecare sector.  The primary purpose of the role will be to ensure the provision of efficient, high-quality, cost-effective customer service.  The role will be based in the east end of Glasgow working on a 9-5 basis.

As a Customer Service Advisor, you will have full responsibility for professionally handling all inbound and outbound calls with patients and customers.  You will also be responsible for data input of patient information, accurately building patient prescriptions and processing of orders for required equipment.  In addition, to these key responsibilities, you will liaise with operational teams to resolve any issues on deliveries, accurately record and report any suspected adverse drug reactions and product complaints as well as coordinating the payment process for private patients.

If successful in your application for the Customer Service Advisor position, you will be joining one of the most experienced providers of clinical homecare in the UK, providing care for more than 80,000 patients in the comfort of their own home.  Working in partnership with various agencies including the NHS, pharmaceutical companies, and private medical insurers, our client supports a wide range of simple and complex patient needs for a variety of therapies, conditions and diseases.  You will be playing an important role in delivering for the patient.

About the Person

As the ideal candidate, you will most likely have previous experience as a Customer Service Advisor, with an ability to deal with difficult situations in a positive and constructive way.  As you would expect, to succeed in this role you will need to possess an excellent telephone manner and good attention to detail.  The service you provide will be critical to patient welfare, therefore, it will be important that you are comfortable following detailed work instructions and procedures as well as maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.  Ideally, you will have achieved at least 3 x National 4’s or Standard Grade or equivalent. 

The Reward

The Customer Service Advisor role will initially pay an hourly rate of £8.72 per hour.  As you develop there will be the opportunity to grow within the business and progress into more senior roles and higher salary with experience and training.
