Aircraft Maintenance Technician
Location: Middle East
About the Job
An excellent overseas job opportunity has arisen in the Middle East with one of our key clients in the Aerospace & Defence sector. We are searching for a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician, to support the Hawk scheduled service programme for our customer based in the Middle East. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out hydraulic/pneumatic aircraft maintenance activities within the Hawk Pneudraulic Shop.
About the Employer
Our client has a well-established overseas presence where they have developed a reputation for working closely with local partners to support economic development by transferring knowledge, skills and technology to add value and capability. Our client operates as a prime contractor under a Government to Government arrangement which is in place to provide equipment, support and training to the customer based in the Middle East.
If you are a candidate currently in search of overseas jobs or have previously considered working in the Middle East, then this role will provide a great opportunity to take the leap with a well-established Aerospace & Defence business.
In your role as Aircraft Maintenance Technician, you will be based within the Hawk Aircraft Accessory Repair/Pneudraulic/Depth shop. As well as supporting the recovery of Hawk aircraft and associated hydraulic/pneumatic components in the accessory repair shop, you as Aircraft Maintenance Technician will also carry out hydraulic/pneumatic aircraft maintenance activities as part of routine phase servicing within the Hawk Depth Shop.
About the Person
The ideal candidate will have completed a recognised aircraft engineering apprenticeship, most likely in military, or hold a similar qualification in aircraft systems engineering. Given the technical nature of this role, it will be essential that you have a strong background in aircraft maintenance (fast jet) with current knowledge and experience associated with maintenance and quality assurance of fast jet aircraft hydraulic/pneumatic components.
Whilst it isn’t essential for succeeding in overseas jobs, it would be a distinct advantage if you have previous experience of working in the aerospace & defence sector in a Middle East country.
