An exciting overseas job opportunity has arisen in the Middle East with one of our key clients in the aerospace and defence sector. We are searching for a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to be based in the Middle East with responsibility for carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, airframe modifications and other airframe maintenance needs in line with customer requirements and quality systems.

Our client has a well-established overseas presence where they have developed a reputation for working closely with local partners to support economic development by transferring knowledge, skills and technology to add value and capability. Our client operates as a prime contractor under a Government to Government arrangement which is in place to provide equipment, support and training to the customer based in the Middle East.

As Aircraft Maintenance Technician, you will have key responsibility for the following activities:
- Carrying out scheduled airframe maintenance on Tornado aircraft as detailed in servicing schedules
- Maintenance activity includes disassembly, cleaning, inspection, rectification, reassembly, adjustment, testing, fault diagnosis, and minor repairs.
- Provide on-the-job and theory training to local trainees in line with agreed programme.
About the Person
If you are the ideal candidate for the Aircraft Maintenance Technician role, you will most likely have extensive experience as an Aircraft Technician with practical maintenance experience in an operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal recorded workplace training. To succeed in this position, you will most likely possess a recognised Airframe trade apprenticeship and have a working knowledge of Q-pulse and associated processes along with completion of a Tornado aircraft maintenance course and significant flight line experience.
Given the challenging nature of this overseas job opportunity, it will be important that you are able to demonstrate initiative to resolve complex technical problems whilst operating in a high-pressure environment. As you would expect for a position of this nature, you will need to be able to demonstrate good cultural awareness and diplomacy to ensure that communications are crystal clear to maximise operational readiness and ensure safety-critical issues are managed effectively and efficiently.
